ARSC supplied 86kg Crane Rail in 2011 as part of BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s Rapid Growth Project 6 (RGP6) Marine Works.

Nelson Point is located Inside the harbor at Port Hedland northwest of Western Australia on the Indian Ocean.

The project consisted of installation: 16 topside modules, 300 piles and 17 berthing dolphins.

The Project Scope: To increase volume to 240Mtpa by 2013, by the conclusion of 2011 it’s bulk cargo was the largest in Australia.


BHP’s Iron Ore operation in Port Hedland Western Australia, consist of 2 Port Facilities, Seven Mines and more than 1,000 kilometers of rail.

Port Hedland is one of the world’s largest iron ore loading ports and is Australians largest.
